Papakha hat worn by Soviet colonels. Features a distinctive yellow silk cross on gray soft woolen cloth. Prototype of this hat comes from Cossacks who used the cross as an Orthodox symbol for protection in battles. Handmade by old-school furriers of authentic gray Persian lamb with cotton lining.
