World-famous brown Persian lamb (Karakul) ambassador hat with a decorative cuff favored by such Soviet General Secretaries as Leonid Brezhnev and Mikhail Gorbachev. Handmade by top class hatters of real Astrakhan fur, this cozy fur hat with cotton lining will keep your head warm in any weather. Shade and pelt characteristics may vary. Optional foldaway ear flaps (as seen on item of different color) are made of brown woollen cloth and partly cover neck as well. Brim width: 3.6" (9 cm). Hat height: 6.3" (16 cm). Production time: up to 7 business days.

The hat arrived and...

The hat arrived and it is perfect! I compared it to my fatherâ€™s hat that I inherited when he died in 1995. He was the U.S. Defense Attache to the U.S. Embassy in Helsinki, Finland from 1966 to 1970. The hat was a gift from his counterpart at the Embassy in Moscow. The hat has always had special meaning to me but now I am glad that I can finally retire it as it is quite worn. If you ever start making hats with reindeer, I would be interested in purchasing one.

My hat arrived and it is beautiful. Just as I expected, the Persian lamb is of excellent quality, the best you will ever find. Russian Legacy means business. The fit is absolutely perfect. Customer service was flawless with helping me over the phone and via email. I am also in the process of ordering another Persian lamb hat because that's just how excellent the craftsmanship is. We have received the hats and they are beautiful. Thank you so much for your expediency. They are being featured in our world premiere production of Anastasia. This is a new musical loosely based on the animated film from the 90s about Anastasia Romanova. This production is transferring to Broadway/New York in the fall.
