Famous grey Karakul Russian peaked hat favored by many Soviet politburo officials. In Russian they often call it leningradka or one of Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg). Handmade by top class furriers of real Persian lamb, this cozy fur hat will keep your head warm in any weather. Cotton lining; visor. Please note: there are no pull down ear flaps. Height: 5.5-5.9" (14-15 cm). Shade and pelt characteristics may vary.

This is a great look...

This is a great looking and seemingly very well constructed hat. Beautiful curly gray Karakul pelts, tightly stitched lining, and sturdy frame. I like this type as the visor, with a little tip of the head, keeps that low winter sun or, depending on the weather, wind-driven snow, out of my eyes. I'll be testing it out in the upcoming Wisconsin winter. Plus, maybe it was just the luck of the draw but, it arrived about 10 days earlier than I expected; even with standard shipping.
