Gzhel Carved Plate

As all traditional Gzhel items, this carved plate was first created in a plaster form cast from liquid porcelain mass. After the first burning the form was painted with cobalt while keeping the background white. Then the painting was covered with glaze. Glaze fused and made the surface of the work glassy, giving cobalt its blue color. Diameter: 8 2/3 inches (22 cm). Ships from Moscow, Russia within 7 business days.
