Very soft and warm winter hat handmade of real sheepskin (lambskin), similar to the one worn by Hans Matheson in the Giacomo Campiotti screening of the famous novel by Boris Pasternak "Doctor Zhivago" published in 1957. Used by certain Cossack regiments in the Russian Empire Army. Pelt characteristics may vary. Production time: up to 7 business days.

The hat that I ordered arrived promptly despite only ordering it 2 weeks before Christmas. It is beautifully warm and as described. Very good quality. Just need it to snow now.

I have this Zhivago...
I have this Zhivago model and it is just one of multiple winter hats I purchased from Russia Legacy. Each of them are composed of top quality materials and exhibit excellent workmanship. Fit was true to size. In my case, time from order to arrival was just over three weeks. Buying experience couldn't be better.

I received my hat today...
I received my hat today. I am very delighted with it. It has a rough look to it and does indeed resemble a hat that a Cossack would wear (as far as I know). I must also thank you for advising me to order size 59.5 cm. 60 cm would have been too large. From my experience so far, I think that people can order from Russian Legacy with confidence.

I always wanted a hat...
I always wanted a hat similar to the one worn by Yul Bryner in ‘Taras Bulba’. I Googled Cossack Hat and found my way to the Russian Legacy site. They had the type of hats I wanted. First let me say if you are not sure of your hat size get your head measured. The only reason you would want to return this hat is because it doesn’t fit right. The quality and workmanship is superb. I really wanted the white one but went with black, when I received it and saw how well it was made and that it fit me perfectly, I immediately ordered it in white. I live in Manhattan and wanted something different to wear this winter. I don’t like to follow the crowd when it comes to fashion and over the years I have developed my individual style. I can’t wait for the cold weather: This hat will keep you warm no matter how much the thermometer drops.

This hat is such FUN...
This hat is such FUN!! wild and woolly, I love it! Reminds me of the hair I once had! The curls are looser than the other karakul hats and straggle beautifully.
