Such gray Astrakhan fur (Persian lamb) hats have been worn throughout the centuries by Russian Cossacks living on the banks of the Kuban River. Handmade by top class hatters of real Karakul, this cozy fur hat will keep your head warm in any weather. Image shows members of the Imperial Army. Height: approximately 5 1/2 inches (14 cm). Shade and pelt characteristics may vary. Production time: up to 7 business days.

Head-covering is probably...
Head-covering is probably the single dress code that human race (King or Peasant; East or West) has survived since Adam’s time. You can wear a hat or take it off; in either case, it is a conversation piece that can make well-mannered people feel good, and that’s the whole point of them. So, if you’re looking for a hat of character, you have reached the right site. Rest are all technical details (karakul fur; made to the precise measurements, can last a lifetime, etc). And, yes, they have a genuinely involved and helpful customer service (I suspect it is a family business).

These hats were so...
These hats were so beautiful that I ordered several as Christmas presents. You will never find a more exquisite hat anywhere. They are indescribably warm and yet cool in more moderate temperatures. They aren't cheap, but then you get what you pay for. Buy one - buy a few - and they will make beautiful heirlooms that you will pass on to your grandchildren. Believe me - you will NOT be disappointed.

I purchased this hat...
I purchased this hat a year ago and it remains one of my favorites. It is very majestic and bold. The lines of the hat are classic which combines well with contemporary dress. This hat certainly keeps me warm when the icy cold Baltic winds gust in winter. The hat is only second to the exemplary service of Russian Legacy. Rest assured you are dealing with a professional whose work ethic reminds of days gone by.
